Marketing & Creative Operations Manager

We are seeking a Marketing and Creative Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the overall creative execution and marketing operations of our teams. The role will require excellent organizational and leadership skills, strategic thinking and experience in leading the creation of marketing campaigns to drive growth, as well as deep knowledge of various marketing channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner and collaborate with team leaders and project leads to articulate, organize, plan for, and monitor project deliverables 

  • Manage work management systems and processes according to project management industry standards

  • Develop and implement marketing and brand strategies and initiatives that align with the company's objectives

  • Oversee the creative team's work, ensuring that all deliverables are aligned with the company's brand guidelines, high-quality, and are delivered on-time

  • Manage end-to-end marketing campaigns, from planning to execution and monitoring.

  • Establish and maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all marketing materials

  • Lead the creation and execution of digital marketing strategies, including social media, content marketing, email campaigns, and SEO

  • Ensure that all marketing campaigns and initiatives are tracked and measured, and that insights are used to optimize future campaigns

  • Develop, manage and/or oversee project plans that capture scope, project goals, deliverables, clear deadlines, resources, stakeholders/approvers, and pertinent project information/assets to enable the team to successfully drive forward execution

  • Develop and maintain relationships with third-party vendors, including freelancers, contractors, and agencies

  • Manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to ensure deliverables are met

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in marketing and creative operations, making recommendations to improve team efficiency and effectiveness

  • Guide and educate team members and project leads on how they can meaningfully contribute to moving projects through each step of the process

  • Actively monitor and proactively communicate project risks and scope creep

  • Play a key role in driving quality assurance across all projects

  • Support teams in managing external creative partners, including budgets and invoicing

  • Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, providing purpose, direction, and motivation

  • To coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Operational Efficiency - Create efficient workflows and processes that allow the company to create quality marketing assets more quickly and easily. This can be tracked through measure such as turnaround time, task completion rate, and error reduction.

Resource Utilization - By tracking resource utilization, managers can ensure that resources, such as time and budget, are being used effectively and efficiently.

Team Performance - Track the performance of both the marketing and creative teams that are under management. Key KPIs in this area might include employee satisfaction, training and development opportunities offered, and turnover rate. Identifying employee pain points and opportunities to improve employee productivity is critical to overall team performance.

Brand Awareness - Marketing and creative operations are often focused on creating brand consistency and building brand awareness. Tracking metrics such as social media mentions, website traffic, and email list growth can help a Marketing and Creative Operations Manager measure the impact that their work is having on the company's brand.

Budget Adherence - As with other management positions, budget adherence is a critical KPI for a Marketing and Creative Operations Manager. By tracking budget usage over time, managers can ensure that they are staying within budget while still generating effective return on investment for the company.

Client Satisfaction - Measuring client satisfaction provides insights into how well the project met their needs and expectations. Feedback can be collected through surveys or interviews.

Error Rates - This KPI measures the accuracy of creative deliverables and identifies areas where improvement is needed. Errors, missed deadlines or revisions suggested by clients can be tracked as a percentage of the total deliverables.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in marketing and creative operations, preferably in a tech-focused environment

  • Experience managing a team of marketing and creative professionals

  • Demonstrated success managing and executing marketing campaigns and initiatives

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Experience managing budgets, timelines, and resources effectively

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to measure and track campaign performance effectively

  • Results-driven mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment

  • Ability to manage multiple accounts with a positive can-do attitude

  • Experience coaching and educating project teams to strengthen team members’ capabilities and skill sets

  • Familiar with implementing work management systems

  • Familiar with work management tools like Asana, Basecamp, Wrike, Monday, and Smartsheet and proficient with industry-standard project management methodologies
